Graveside services for Alfred Smith, 83 a ironworker of Winnsboro will be held at 2 pm Thursday June 14, 2012 at Harris Cemetery, Crowville, LA with Rev. Terry Ganey officiating. Services are under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home Winnsboro.

Mr. Smith was born September 1, 1928 in Franklin parish, LA to his parents John Horace and Adelia McMorris Smith and passed from this life on Wednesday June 13, 20123 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center.

Alfred is preceded in death by his parents and a son Doyle LaFaye Smith.

Survivors included son Ronnie Smith and wife Elaine of Crowville, LA; three granddaughters Candy Smith; Amy Harper and husband Kevin; Kara Austin and husband Steven all of Crowville, LA; seven great-grandchildren Josh and Kaleb Wyant, Indya Booth, Noah and Kade Harper, Eva-Catherine and Georgia Austin; brothers Delsie Smith and James Smith both of Ferriday, LA and sister Bobbie Wilson of Baker, LA.
